A meeting with Adam Sobota in the Cinema Theatre in Michalowice

On 19 February 2011, at the invitation of the Group Athanor, Dr Adam Sobota, a leading Polish historian of photography, visited the Cinema Theatre in Michalowice near Jelenia Gora. Dr Sobota, whose regularly published articles designate the most current knowledge in the field of contemporary art, was discussing issues concerning recent Polish photographic art and the works of the most important contemporary Polish photographers were shown in a multimedial presentation.
Adam Sobota - a Polish philologist, philosopher - Ph.D., columnist, lecturer in history and theory of photography and art history, custodian of photographic collections at the National Museum in Wroclaw. Author of numerous essays, articles and books, among others, "Nobility of the Art. Dilemmas of Artistic Photography in the XIXth and XXth Century" and "Conceptual Photography".
